Sydney is a hub for business transaction and education. This area is 12144.6 km² and this is listed beta city of the world. Here many vacation places such as Sydney Opera House, its beaches and Harbour Bridge. This is located south east of Australia so here weather is evergreen.
The Pope praised "the warm and generosity of Australian hospitality" in a meeting with World Youth Day organizers earlier in the day, before he headed for the airport.
The Pope thanked 12,000 volunteers for their work in organizing the Sydney celebration. He prayed that the young pilgrims who attended WYD would bring their renewed spiritual energy back to their own homes and parishes, and that the organizers too "will take many precious memories and spiritual insights with you."
Indeed, all of the positive energy and uplifting environment was a surprise. I can now see what might have drawn the Stanley´s to live there, to heal and to stay. I am told there are plenty of reference books about the Stanley Hotels and the residents, none of which I knew about or read prior to going or since having gone. I snapped a photo of the picture of Mrs. Stanley as she seemed to be the one influencing and directing my portion of the self-guided tour, sending me to the music room first and then to ask questions of the appropriate people.
